Anna Solt

Anna has been riding for ten years and it all began with her first riding lesson at Ballentine Farms! She attended St Andrew's University and studied Therapeutic Horsemanship and Psychology. Anna also rode on the IHSA equestrian team. She also volunteered in therapeutic horsemanship lessons for three years, including summer camps. She has a passion for teaching others to love horses and work respectfully with them, learning life skills that can apply to relationships with other people (not just horses).

Jordan Watt

Jordan has been riding horses since she was old enough to sit up on her own, and her life ever since has revolved around them. She was raised competing in Western pleasure, equitation and showmanship on American Quarter Horses, but has tried her hand at many disciplines including but not limited to saddleseat, dressage, jumping, gymkhana, and working equitation. She has worked at Ballentine for over five years, and is currently the assistant barn manager at a farm in Siler City but Ballentine is her favorite place on Earth, so she is back every Wednesday to teach her group kids. Her favorite thing to do on horseback is run like the wind and blaze new trails through the country on her Quarab "Felix."

Mara Boston

Mara has been riding since she was 9 years old. She began riding at local barrel races and now is immersing herself in the Tennessee Walking horse industry.  Additionally, Mara received a scholarship to ride on Saint Andrews University's Western team, but decided to stay local to continue learning at her home barn Ballentine Farms. She has volunteered with many therapeutic riding programs to expand her teaching skills. Mara strives to grow confident riders while sharing her passion for horses and all they have to offer!

Ray

Ray started riding when she was 12 and absolutely loved it. She met her heart horse Blackie in December of 2020 and started leasing him a few months later. They've been riding together ever since! Ray is one of our private lesson instructors, camp counselors, and helps maintain the facility to keep the barn running smoothly in any way she can. 
Ray enjoys seeing her students share her passion and fall in love with riding just as she did when she first started.
